Things to do on a lazy weekend

Weekends are  normally not lazy for me, but once in blue moon I find myself too lazy to even move out of my bed.
Moreover, going out also means spending money. So, this weekend I wanted to remain confined within Ghatkopar or my apartment to be precise.
So here  goes the list of things one can do on a lazy weekend.
Read- This is always going to be my number one thing to do on a weekend. On a busy weekend, I catch up on some reading as I wait for the local train to arrive or  when travelling from one place to another. Whereas, on a lazy weekends one can curl up with a book. The presence of snacks near your bedside can also make the reading experience far more superior.
If you are more of an online person then there is a whole universe for you to explore. Newspapers' weekend supplements are also available online. Hence, go forward and pick a web page that suits you. An important point that should be mentioned here is that one should turn their notifications off, otherwise  Whatsapp messages will make your reading experience unbearable.
If you are more of an audio person, go listen to that audio book which you downloaded some time ago or the podcasts you subscribed but never had the patience to listen .  I find streaming of audio books much more convenient than downloading.
Writing - Writing is a great way of catching up with one's true self. Writing about the week gone by, things that went wrong , things that shouldn't happen again and the overall emotional status is a great way of gauging your emotional health. It makes your mind lighter as venting out emotions is considered healthy.

If you fall on the creative side and recently have lost touch with magic that words  can do, it is time to polish that diamond again. Write a short story, a poem, your journal or anything you please. As long as the actual pen and paper gets involved anything is fine.
Catch up some great music- I personally feel YouTube and music apps like Gaana are soul-savers for loners like me. Just play some fresh releases according to your taste and just sit back and relax. If you want a voice in the background, then you have FM stations  to cater to your needs. Out of all the radio stations, I personally love the frequency 94.3 FM. In Guwahati it is Gupshup and in metros it is Radio One.
Some other things that can be done includes doing the laundry, getting a facial and mending clothes.
So, next time you wake up on a Saturday morning with no intention of trekking or exploring unknown places or clubs you know what to do.
